Grammar abolished ‘secret committees’ amid allegations of corruption

The organizers of the famous Grammy Awards for music are putting an end to the so-called “secret” committees that the likes of The Weeknd and other pop stars have allegedly led to the rigging of the Music Awards show.

The Recording Academy said in a statement on Friday that the changes to it were not only “significant”, but would also “ensure that the Grammy Awards rules and guidelines are transparent and equitable.”

It is alleged that the Grammy was rigged in the nomination process, in a lawsuit filed in early 2019 by Deborah Dugan, former CEO of the Recording Academy, who was fired.
