Ouch, that’s gotta hurt.
“Halloween Kills” star Kyle Richards revealed she broke her nose while shooting her scenes for the upcoming flick.
Richards, 52, reprises her role as the grown-up Lindsey Wallace. The former child star portrayed the kid Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode babysat for in 1978’s “Halloween.”
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” personality joins Curtis, 62, again for the new sequel of the acclaimed horror franchise and had a bit of unfortunate luck during filming.
“I didn’t know it was broken when it happened,” Richards told Us Weekly. “I just knew I hurt myself, but I didn’t tell anybody. I didn’t want the stunt double to step in and have them be like, ‘Oh Kyle, you know, let the stunt double handle this.’ ”
To ease her pain, Richards popped some Advil that an assistant director gave her and got back to her craft.
However, it wasn’t until she returned home to Los Angeles that she felt like something was not right. “As I got back to LA … I was like, ‘What is going on?’ Then my makeup artist in LA said, ‘You have a bone poking out of here. What’s going on?’ And so I went to the doctor,” the mother of four said. “It didn’t bleed, so I thought I was fine. It was hurting for a long time.”
Richards also revealed how the accident happened in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“I was working with a stunt coordinator to do a fight scene with Michael Myers and umm, yeah, let’s just say while I was rehearsing something flew back and hit me in the face and I knew immediately that something was wrong,” she said.
Curtis and Richards are joined by Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Nancy Stephens and Anthony Michael Hall in the newest film adaption. James Jude Courtney returns as serial killer Michael Myers.
Scream queen Curtis’ Laurie Strode and her family must combat Michael’s obsession to kill her and wreak havoc on the town of Haddonfield once again.
Richards looked back on her time on set of the iconic series and explained to Us Weekly that she didn’t think the movie would be a cult classic. “I had no idea it was going to be such a big deal and that, you know, it would have fans still passionate about it after all of these years,” she said.
She continued, “Just like when I signed on to do the ‘Housewives,’ I thought I was doing a job for two months and I didn’t know if it was going to be a flop or a hit. And here we are [the] No. 1 show on Bravo all these years later. So, you know, you just never know.”
“Halloween Kills” will come screaming into theaters and on Peacock on Friday.
