Kelly Stafford, wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, issued an important public service announcement after sustaining an apparent neck injury.
“Psa: don’t wear socks while running down the stairs,” she wrote on Instagram from Los Robles Regional Medical Center outside Los Angeles. “Side note: I’m fine, but so damn annoyed at myself.”
It has been a wild football season for Kelly Stafford.
In November, she hurled a pretzel at heckling 49ers fans at Levi’s Stadium, and later apologized for the incident.
“[G]irl I knowwwww I’m an idiot,” she responded to the comment. “He was saying a bunch of things that were aggressive towards our crew but zero excuse. I tried to apologize, but in the end knew I was wrong. Will always stand up for my guy and everyone I love, but obviously needed to do it completely different! I’m embarrassed too! Sorry you had to witness me in my weak moment!”
After the incident, she said she would take a break from attending her husband’s games.
“Being a professional athlete’s significant other, you don’t wave want to bring attention to yourself negatively,” Kelly said on her podcast, admitting, “I f–king lost it and here we are.”
The Staffords first met at the University of Georgia, where Kelly was a cheerleader. They married in 2015.
