Former Alabama Nazi Harris running back Enjoyed a big gathering Thursday to be his first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
That’s because Harris, who was 24th overall in the Steelers, hosted it at the Greater Richmond Interfaith Program, a homeless shelter in Richmond, California. One of the top college football prospects in country.
Harris was not just there to enjoy a draft party in his honor. He brought a donation of food to current residents as the program’s most notable success story.

“There was a time when I needed help. They gave us a chance to get back on our feet. “So it’s my job to give back.”
“It was really emotional for my mom,” Harris said. “Almost like she was crying, in a way, because we have so many memories here.” It was a time of my life when it was really short. “
Harris enters the NFL as one of Alfama’s most efficient running backs, owning career records for riding yards (3,843) and touchdowns (46). He is coming off a season in which he was a unanimous US pick and Doc Walker Award winner, rushing for 1,466 yards and 26 touchdowns, while receiving 425 yards and four touchdowns.
