Rams made the biggest splash of the offseason by trading for Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. It addresses an area of weakness, but Los Angeles hopes it can check a few more boxes in the 2021 NFL Draft.
It will be important for the Rams to surround Stafford with offensive talent to keep their Super Bowl window open. LA has the best defensive units in the league, but it won’t hurt to add depth to key positions to make sure the performance doesn’t decline this season.

Ram needs NFL draft
- Linebacker: The Los Angeles defense led the NFL in points and yards per game last season, but the linebacker group was not stellar. Fortunately for Rama, it should not be too difficult to ascertain the value in the later stages.
- Defensive Back: Johnson may consider taking Los Angeles safety after losing to the Brons to Johnson. Picking up a slot corner would make sense to replace Troy Hill, who signed with Cleveland this offseason.
- Wide receiver: Both the Cooper Coupe and Robert Woods are great for Ram, but Stafford would probably appreciate it if the front office gave him another target.
