An argument over football between a New York fan and a Philadelphia supporter turned deadly outside of a famous cheesesteak joint in the City of Brotherly Love on Thursday, a report said.

The two fanatics were in line at Pat’s King of Steaks early Thursday morning when they got into an argument, in part, about football, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

The beef escalated and turned physical before one the fans pulled a gun, the report stated.

“They were arguing and it turned into a fight,” Pat’s general manager, Tom Francano, told the newspaper.

“One guy grabbed the other guy and got him in a grip, and the other guy pulled out a gun and shot him in the torso. It was one shot. The cops came right away,” he added.

The unidentified victim, a 23-year-old, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died, according to the report.

Pat’s was closed for several hours as police investigated — but the Philly mainstay was soon back in business, and customers lined up for hoagies the hours later, the paper said.

“My employees are pretty shaken up,” owner Frank Olivieri said, according to the article.

“I don’t understand what goes through people’s minds. … It’s a fricking tragedy when anyone dies senselessly.”
