Three shot at illegal party on Long Island

Police said three people were seriously injured when a bullet fired early Tuesday at a party at an illegally rented house on Long Island.

“There were 911 calls about a shootout at a party,” said Lieutenant Susan Ralph, a spokesman for Southampton Town Police.

Raft said officers responded at 26 Long Springs Road in Southampton at around 3am.

The three men who were shot were taken to Southampton Hospital by private means. One of them was later referred to Stony Brook University Hospital.

“They were serious but non-fatal injuries,” Ralph said.

Police said the house was rented for one night on AirBnB, but the online holiday property site said it was not responsible for the listing at the time of the shooting. The Town Code stated that all fares have been booked for at least two weeks, Ralph said.
