Jackson Mahomes is making headlines once again based on something he posted on social media.
Mahomes, who is Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ younger brother, is known to make controversial social media posts. Typically, though, these posts have to do with football. However, this week Mahomes took to his social media to give a bad review of a local Kansas City restaurant called SoT. Mahomes has since taken down his post, but he reportedly posted a long rant about how the cocktail bar couldn’t accommodate his large party.

SoT posted a reply to Mahomes’ rant on its Instagram page (@sotkc) on Wednesday. The company took down its original post, as well. Here’s a screenshot of what the post said:
The line that stuck out most to people is, “We survived a global pandemic, we’ll survive your ego.”
Additionally, SoT called out Mahomes’ previous actions this season, which include pouring a bottle of water on a Ravens fan and doing a TikTok dance on the sideline memorial of the deceased Sean Taylor.

“We are sorry you didn’t reach out to us first before taking to social media, but then again that is an expectation we would have from a mature and rational person, not someone who pours water on fans and dances on the memorials of tragically lost people for TikTok clout,” SoT’s post said. “We have not been fortunate enough to be born into a much more talented and much more famous family but we would like to think that if we did have that much luck- we would use our influence in more responsible ways.”
After SoT’s original apology, the restaurant posted another apology on Thursday morning, this time apologizing in a more serious manner for the way the company handled the situation at first.

“Social media can be used in so many different ways, & yesterday our team used it to personally attack and question the character of someone we do not know personally. Out of all the ways this situation could have been handled, we did it the wrong way,” SoT’s new post said.
Mahomes has not commented about the matter.
