Nyja Huston accused of hosting superspeeders party in LA

Officials said a skateboarding champion has been busted for allegedly throwing a party in Los Angeles.

Nyja Huston, a four-time world skateboarding champion, and Edward Essa, owner of a residence in Fairfax district, held a party last month with at least 40 people who were gunned down by police over noise complaints, Los Angeles Times reported.

After the party, Mayor Eric Garcetti ordered the LA Water and Power Department to shut down the electricity service at home

As of the January 9 gathering, new cases were rising in the COVID-19 hotspot.

Both Huston and Esa were killed on charges of maliciousness causing a nuisance,

Authorities had previously closed other incidents at the house in September and banned large gatherings the following month that violated the mayor’s order.

The newspaper reported that during this crisis, my office has placed individuals and businesses who have large indoor conferences, who violate important public health and safety orders, accountable.

“During an epidemic, this enforcement is particularly important because party houses can produce superspreader events that threaten public health. We are taking steps to shut them down.
